Starting Over Again is a Filipino romantic comedy film directed by Olivia M. Lamasan starring Piolo Pascual, Toni Gonzaga, and Iza Calzado. It is produced and distributed by Star Cinema as part of its 20th anniversary.It officially premiered in the Philippines on February 12, 2014.
The film was an instant box-office success earning 25 million pesos on its opening day. On March 15, 2014, a month after its theatrical release, the film earned a total domestic gross of 400 million pesos becoming the first non-Metro Manila Film Festival film to reach the said amount. As of April 1, 2014, the movie registered Php 491.67 million both in domestic and international box offices.
Ten years ago, Ginny (Toni Gonzaga), an Architecture student, and Marco (Piolo Pascual), a History professor, began a one-of-a-kind and unpredictable love story. In the five years that they were together, they brought out the best in each other, which included Marco's unrealized dream of becoming a chef. Together, they worked towards their dream of opening up a restaurant, but when Ginny realized her own pursuits were different from his, she rejected his wedding proposal and left the country for a Masters degree in Architecture.
